About us

Hi! We are Myriam & Andy, your hosts at Andresna House.

As founders of the Swiss Restaurant “Edelwise” in Dublin-Ranelagh, which has got TripAdvisor‘s Certificate of Excellence for four years in a row, we always had the dream to hosting our guests under our own roof. With Andresna House, this dream became true in summer 2019. – After two very intense years of planning, renovating, extending and converting the main house as well as its outbuilding, Andresna House is now open for bookings. – As an outstanding lakeside boutique B&B, we see ourselves as a host for gentle tourism, deceleration and environmental awareness with a wide range of activities and attractions. Come and explore our beautiful gem on the south shore of majestic Lough Arrow.

About Myriam
Myriam has a master degree of economics from the University of Zurich and still teaches young salesmen at a vocational school of commerce and administration in Zurich. Here at Andresna House, she’s not only responsible for the administration and all calculations, but also – with her amazing culinary skills – for what we serve to our guests; just like before in Ranelagh. But there is much more: That special flair to make things a bit more personal, to offer a bit extra attention and quality or simply to make you feel like a special guest; almost everything bears Myriam’s signature. Wonderful recipes, organic cotton bed linen, flower arrangements from our grounds and garden, beautiful homemade pastries; you name it.

Are we dog friendly? How could we not!

We are dog handlers ourselves so we both like dogs a lot and we are indeed happy to offer some of our rooms as dog friendly. As regulations in Ireland are rather restrictive, bringing your own pet dog is limited to the availability of our rooms with a separate entrance. However, there’s some rules and fees that you can find as part of our Terms & Conditions, but no worries, basically you are good as long as your buddy doesn’t disturb our other guests. Any Questions? Just contact us.

This is Louie, our trained male Beauceron. He’s making sure that you will have a relaxed stay.
