Andresna House is a hidden gem! My husband and I ended up here unexpectedly after I fell ill and needed a couple days to recouperate. The home is impeccably decorated with beautiful artwork and tasteful architectural touches, and the location is gorgeous. It was a lovely respite. Andy is an exceptional host. He took good care of us and is a fascinating, lovely person. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

This was our 2nd stay at Andresna House. We found it last year and it is truly a hidden gem nestled in the countryside on beautiful Lough Arrow. Andy is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to make his guests feel at home. Breakfast is exceptional in a beautiful bright dining room. The house itself has been lovingly restored and the attention to detail in each room makes it so unique and special. We loved hearing stories from Andy of life is Switzerland and look forward to meeting his wife Myriam when next we stay. Wir hatten einen wundervollen, viel zu kurzen Aufenthalt in Andresna House. Die Lage ist wirklich unschlagbar, mit tollem Blick auf den See. Die Besitzer haben uns (und unsere Hündin) mit großer Herzlichkeit empfangen und wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Danke Andi und Miri!!
What a beautiful, peaceful place! Andy is a fantastic host and has created a little bit of paradise here!! The organic breakfast has to be the best I have ever tasted! The furniture, the original art, the view of the lake all added to the ambiance. We will definitely be back! Andresna house is a must for those who like the best!

Während unserer Ferien in Irland haben wir einige Tage in einem aussergewöhnlichen B&B namens "Andresna House" verbracht. Uns wurde dieses charmante Haus von Bekannten empfohlen, und unsere bereits hohen Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen. Das "Andresna House" liegt etwas abgelegen direkt am malerischen Lough Arrow und bietet eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf den See und das umliegende Land. Das Haus wurde kürzlich stilvoll renoviert und mit viel Geschmack und Feingefühl eingerichtet, was eine warme und einladende Atmosphäre schafft. Die Gästezimmer befinden sich im ersten Stock. Obwohl die Platzverhältnisse nicht übermässig grosszügig sind, fühlt man sich dennoch wohl und gut aufgehoben. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine gemütliche Lounge mit Cheminée und ein grosses Esszimmer, in welchem das Frühstück serviert wird. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass der freundliche Gastgeber Andy das köstliche Frühstück persönlich zubereitet und serviert. Einziger kleiner Nachteil: Für ein Abendessen im nächstgelegenen Restaurant benötigt man ein Auto. Alles in allem können wir das "Andresna House" wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist der perfekte Ort für alle, die Ruhe und Natur in einem stilvollen Ambiente geniessen möchten.

This B&B was a wonderful escape from the busy life. Super quiet. Super relaxing. Super everything. Andy was so sweet. The breakfast was so good, so filling. I would recommend it to anyone that just wants a bit of peace and quiet. Easily the nicest B&B I’ve ever stayed in. Will come back again some time!

We had the most enjoyable weekend away in this secluded location for a total reset from the world. Arriving in the mid afternoon after taking in the local scenery only to get a warm welcome by Andy at the door of a country house that overlooks the waterfront with their own access to the water. We were given the tour of the house which has been done up to a standard with intent of creating a relaxing atmosphere with not one but two parlours where you can relax and chat, we had dinner reservations and proceeded to a local restaurant which was lovely we returned to the fire place where Andy had a fire set and all the was required was to light it and enjoy a few glasses of red wine with great company. The breakfast was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in quite a while, mainly due to only having one table which encouraged conversation with the other guests and of course the food was unbelievable with so many choices available. I could not recommend Andresna House enough. The location, atmosphere, cleanliness and quality of the food was excellent. Andy was a perfect gentleman and engaged in conversation and was visibly passionate about what he is trying to achieve in this beautiful part of the world.
Beautiful boutique Bed and breakfast in beautiful surroundings overlooking the lake. Stayed one night with my mum before heading to a family wedding. Andy welcomed us on arrival and showed us to our room which overlooked the lake. The room was very comfortable and clean and guests can use the lovely living rooms to relax and pick up a book from a fantastic selection of fiction and non fiction in a number of languages. Breakfast was delicious with a great selection of hot and cold food and organic eggs and vegetables. Would thoroughly recommend Andresna House and wish I could have spent longer. Will definitely bring my swimming costume next time!
We had a lovely time in Andresna House. The owner is very friendly and gave us very helpful tips on the area! The house is beautifully decorated and is few metres away from the lake so the view is amazing. The breakfast room has only one big table, which encourages you to chat with the other guests
We recently stayed in Andresna House and it was the most relaxing few days I have had in quite some time. The drive to the house was lovely, the house itself was clean and welcoming and Andy was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much for him. He was good enough to have a list of places to eat and activities in the area. Our room was lovely and clean, the breakfast was sumptous. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, Andresna House is the plade.
The Andresna House is wonderful. The location is beautiful and quiet, yet it is easy to get to many tourist locations. Andy is a wonderful host - funny and interesting to talk to. The breakfasts were amazing - from traditional Irish breakfast with bacon and sausages to vegetarian omelettes. Andy had great gluten-free options on offer. If Andresna hadn't been booked on the weekend, I would have extended my stay. I highly recommend Andresna House.

We stayed at Andresna at the end of November 2022. Wow what an amazing refurbished house. Andy and his wife have done a great job to restore it. We travelled with 2 dogs who loved the ample space to run around, we also had our own private entrance to a very spacious room. We where the only guests staying that night as it was a Monday off season but Andy took care of us so well. The breakfast the next morning was to die for. Don't be put off by its secluded location, the views and surrounding areas are stunning. Highly recommend
Beautiful house in a scenic location. The host was very welcoming, bedroom and ensuite was very tastefully decorated, beautiful white cotton bed linen and warm and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast, great variety of granola, breads, yoghurts, fruit, teas and coffees. Cooked breakfast was excellent and very well presented. Would definitely return.

Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und am Abend der Whisky vor dem Kamin perfekt, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Die Gastgeber Andy und Myriam sind super zuvorkommend und das Frühstück eines der besten unserer Reise - sogar ein vegetarisches Irish-Breakfast war möglich! Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Das Haus, der Garten und die Zimmer sind mit sehr gutem Geschmack und viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und eingerichtet. Nebst den Schlafzimmern gibt es 2 schöne Räume, die uns zur Verfügung standen und zum Verweilen einluden. Das Morgenbuffet liess keine Wünsche offen und die Gastgeber Andy und Myriam kümmerten sich bestens um uns.
Wir verbrachten eine ganze Woche im Andresna House und genossen die Ruhe und die herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Andy und Myriam. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Betten herrlich bequem. Wir konnten vom Bett direkt auf den See blicken. Das wunderbare Wetter liess uns etwas Zeit im Liegestuhl neben dem Haus verbringen. Relaxen geht im Andresna House perfekt. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und reichhaltig. Falls Andy Zeit hat, bietet er ein wunderbares Abendessen an. Als Abschluss genossen wir abends einen Whiskey oder eine feine Flasche Wein in den bequemen Sofas am Feuer. Eine Auto ist zu empfehlen, da das Haus am See nicht ohne weiteres mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar ist.
This is one of the very best B&B we stayed in during our trip in Ireland (Summer 2022). The house is beautifully renovated, the room was comfortable and with a huge comfy bed, with a great view. The location is simply fantastic, right on the lake and of course extremely quiet. The breakfasts were delicious, and the hosts made sure we did not have twice the same. The hosts were very nice and it was lovely chatting with them. I absolutely recommend it if you are visiting the area (which has by the way some astonishing archeological and historical remains).
Ein toller beeindruckender Ort, an welchem man gerne länger wäre und immer gerne zurückkehrt. Tolles Haus, mit viel Liebe restauriert, erweitert, neu gestaltet. Schöne Aufenthaltsräume zu Lesen oder Diskutieren. Ein beeindruckender Garten mit riesiger Blumenwiese auf der einen und einen Blumenparadies – "walled" Garten … auf der anderen Seite. Und dann noch mit Blick auf und Zugang zum See. Sehr charmante und nette Gastgeber_innen, sogar unser Hund konnte ausgelassen mit den Hunden von Andy und Miriam spielen. Das Frühstück wurde schon mehrfach positiv erwähnt, wirklich toll und reichhaltig und sogar mit richtig gutem (Sauerteig-) Brot-. Absolut zu empfehlen!
We had a great stay here for two nights recently. Excellent breakfast, lovely room - on ground floor with separate entrance perfect for our (large) dog. The grounds are very well kept with an amazing wild flower meadow that you can walk through along mown paths in front of the lake, along with beautiful lawn to sit out opposite. The peaceful garden areas attract all sorts of wildlife, we saw many dragonflies, butterflies and there was a jay that liked to hang around the orchard. Host Andy was very welcoming and took great care of us during our stay.
The area where Andresna House is located is simply breathtaking. The house has an incredible lake-view and the garden invites you to linger. Our room was cozy, clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our host was accommodating and treated us to the best breakfast every day. I highly recommend the Andresna House for your stay in the area.
Andresna House ist ein wunderschönes Landhaus, welches mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert wurde. Es war ein sehr entspannender Aufenthalt mit bestem Frühstück und sehr bequemen Betten. Die ruhige Lage mit Seeanstoss, welches das B&B bietet, ist sehr empfehlenswert um den Stress aus dem Alltag zu vergessen und die Ferien zu geniessen.

We spent the most wonderful time at Andresna House. The location in itself is magical with the beautiful lake-view and the tastefully designed premises, the true highlight however must be the impeccable service of the hosts. Over all a must for anyone seeking relaxation, calm and great food.

10/10 We stayed for one night as we were attending a wedding at nearby Kilronan Castle. Andresna is a mix of classy and contemporary. You can see the owners have put alot of thought into everything, very classy. The host was very friendly. Our room was lovely with an amazing en-suite, spotlessly clean and a fabulous view over the lake. Breakfast was delicious! For me, Andresna it a beautiful gem in fantastic setting, ran by owners who really know what they are doing. I would 100% recommend anyone to stay here.

Beautifully presented establishment with a warm and informative welcome from the host. Wonderful location in the heart of the countryside at the foot of Lake Arrow. All the rooms have been brought up to an excellent standard and taste. Breakfast was of an excellent variety and choice in a lovely conservatory setting overlooking the lake. Excellent place for your thoughts to run as wild as the deer in the surrounding land.

We gladly confirm the excellent reviews of others. We did not have the possibility of having dinner. (But dinner at The Oarsman Gastropub can be warmly recommended). Breakfast was splendid, the offering as well as the refined and elegant way it is all laid out. All in excellent taste - a very attractive price/quality ratio. Thank you Andy.

The location, just on the lake, is amazing; the indoors are magnificent and every single detail has been carefully designed and the bed was very very comfy.
